This exquisite full-colour catalogue accompanied a major exhibition that celebrated the life and work of Rita Angus (1908–70), one of New Zealand’s best-loved artists. The exhibition opened at Te Papa in July 2008 before travelling to other main centres around New Zealand.

Rita Angus: Life & Vision is the only large-format catalogue to celebrate Rita Angus’s legacy of art in New Zealand. It features magnificent reproductions of every artwork in the exhibition, from iconic landscapes and portraits like Cass and Rutu to work never before seen in public.

William McAloon and Jill Trevelyan were co-curators of the exhibition, and are co-editors of the catalogue, which includes essays from well-known writers, critics, and art historians.

Jill is also the author of the acclaimed biography Rita Angus: An Artist’s Life, published in April 2008.
