This National Services Te Paerangi workshop facilitated by Michael O'Neill will cover:
Fundamentals: Learn the basics of digital imaging including the fundamentals of photography, equipment selection, image capture and lighting control with hands on demonstrations.
Guidelines and best practice: digitisation resources and examples to help guide you on the appropriate approach/level of digitisation for your collection.
Digital collections and preservation: an overview of managing digital assets including file types, storage solutions, born digital collections and digital preservation.
Michael has over two decades of experience in collection digitisation encompassing 2-D photography, video production and 3-D digital imaging, he currently leads a team of talented photographers and imaging specialists at Te Papa Tongarewa.
